OnBase University is an education organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to hitting, pitching, fielding and running the bases. We educate baseball & softball coaches, fitness trainers and medical professionals on how to work as a cohesive team to improve the lives and performance of their players. Over the last 6 years, OnBaseU has done private workshops for over 20 MLB organizations, as well as countless private certification courses open to the public.
Since its inception in 2016, OnBaseU has studied all types of players ranging from the top MLB professionals to the amateur athlete. Data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, OnBaseU has shown how a properly functioning body allows a player to successfully play baseball or softball in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, OnBaseU has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the various biomechanics involved in baseball and softball and potentially lead to injury.
Advanced Baseball Co-Founder Steve Johnson also happens to be a Co-Founder of OnBaseU as well. What this means is that OnBaseU information, methodology and instruction is baked into all Advanced Baseball programs. Our goal in our training center is to bring this elite level of information and instruction, usually reserved for MLB & High Level College programs, to all of our local athletes in the DMV area. We know this can give any amateur athlete the best shot at development and success on the field.
